The Vineyard

From ancient, field-blended vines around the village of Rivesaltes, this wine captures the essence of the region’s clay-limestone and schist soils. Grenache Gris, Grenache Blanc, and Macabeu have been growing side by side here for generations, producing fruit of remarkable depth and character.

The Wine

Hand-picked grapes are gently vinified before fortification, then aged for over fifteen years in old oak barrels under oxidative conditions. Time gives the wine its unmistakable identity, defined by the rancio character, complex notes of dried fruit, spice, and polished wood.

Tasting Notes

The color glows amber with golden and copper hues. Aromas unfold in layers of walnut, date, blond tobacco, and candied orange peel. On the palate, richness is balanced by freshness, with a long, elegant finish. A meditative wine, equally at home with Roquefort, speculoos ice cream, or blood orange tart, or simply enjoyed on its own as a contemplative after-dinner glass.
