The Vineyard

This wine comes from very old, field-blended vines surrounding the village of Rivesaltes, planted exclusively with Grenache Noir. The clay-limestone and schist soils of the Roussillon plain provide an ideal environment for producing naturally sweet wines with exceptional aging potential.

The Wine

This Rivesaltes Tuilé has been aged for over 40 years in old barrels under oxidative conditions. This extended maturation develops the characteristic tuilé aromas, with an extraordinary concentration of flavors. The vinification follows traditional methods, with fortification, followed by long barrel aging without topping up.

Tasting Notes

The wine shows a deep tuilé-brown color, revealing an enchanting nose of candied fruits, honey, walnut, and cocoa. On the palate, it is velvety, with a surprising freshness for its age. Aromas evolve toward dried fig, caramel, prunes, and other dried fruits. The finish is long, persistent, and vibrant. A wine of emotion, perfect with foie gras terrine, dark chocolate desserts, or simply to be savored alone in a quiet, contemplative moment.
