The Vineyard

This cuvée comes from La Joanette, the first parcel ever restructured by the estate, located high above Banyuls. Facing north-east, it lies on schist soils streaked with rare veins of ampélite, a dark, distinctive rock. The Grenache Gris vines are massal selections taken from our oldest centenary vineyards. At the foot of the slope, an old well dug by an ancestor still provides water to the parcel, even during the driest summers.

The Wine

As with all our whites, pressing is gentle to preserve finesse and aromatic precision. Aging takes place entirely on lees in tank, a deliberate choice to highlight purity, freshness, and minerality. No oak influence here: the spotlight is on the terroir itself.

Tasting Notes

The nose opens with ripe white fruits, juicy pear, vineyard peach, layered with delicate floral notes and a fine, chalky edge. The palate is generous yet silky, driven by vibrant freshness and a persistent mineral backbone, the signature of schist soils.

Suggested pairings include spiny lobster ceviche with citrus, grilled pork chop with a honey and mild curry reduction, or ricotta ravioli with fresh herbs in a light lemon broth.
